Drawing

The Drawing course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of drawing for students whose main interests are in graphite and ink drawings and who strive for realism in their artwork. This course may occasionally incorporate colored pencils, however the main focus lies in grayscale art. Instruction will focus on observational drawing of subjects such as still life, landscape, the human figure, and animals. Students will explore technical skills in value, line, proportion, perspective, and texture in depth along with experimenting with creative personal expression and individual style.
